Neal Parks is native Texan, born and raised in Dallas. Before finding his true passion in sound engineering, Neal had an extensive musical background in trumpet, drums and music theory. Neal has had an opportunity to mix many national and local artists throughout his career including Doc Severinson, Ed Shaughnessy, Dave Weckel, Van Morrison, Tower of Power, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Reba McEntire, George Straight, Janie Fricke, Richard Elliot, Sammy Joe Cole, Johnny Lee and Greg Allman and local favorites such as Andy Timmons, The Vocal Majority and the Dallas Jazz Orchestra.
Over the years of traveling and mixing artists as far as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the World's Fair in Seville, Spain, Neal settled back in Dallas. He was House Engineer here is Dallas for 10 years mixing Show Bands from Las Vegas and the Reno, Nevada areas. Neal then started working with many of the top bands in Dallas. He considers it an honor to have worked with so many talented musicians over the years. Neal joined Inside Out in 2000.
When Neal is not working with Inside Out or Pathway of Life Church, he is usually watching movies, music videos or reading. Neal also tries to get up to Calgary, Canada at least once a year to visit his two cousins and family. He enoys Canada's beauty and "very clean air." In his times off Neal also likes to visit the family trailer in the country in Corsicana, Texas. Neal says he "enjoys the peace and quiet it brings as well as getting to visit my Aunt and Uncle while I am there. My Uncle is a retired Texas Ranger and always has a lot a stories to tell. Family is very important to me."
